The exhibition is not intended
only as a place to be visited by the public, but also a tool
to support and/or promote mathematics within education and popularisation.
Various initiatives have been started already:
workshops for trainee teachers (both primary and secondary
level);
proposals within the SeT project for new paths through
the elementary curriculum;
collaborations with secondary level maths/art teachers;
project with Bergamo Botanical Gardens for activities
to recognise symmetry in botany;
management of a web-based discussion forum on symmetry
(part of "WebScuola").
